TapeMeasure AR · Last updated: August 2026

TapeMeasure AR does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or to any third party. There is no account system, no backend server, and no analytics or advertising SDKs of any kind.

Camera

The app uses your device's camera to show a live viewfinder while measuring. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted anywhere. A photo is only saved when you explicitly tap Save to create a measurement report.

Sensors

The app reads your device's accelerometer and magnetometer to power the Compass, Level, Motion, and tilt-based measuring features. This sensor data stays on your device and is never transmitted or stored beyond what's shown on screen.

Saved reports

When you save a measurement report, a photo and a text summary are stored in the app's private storage on your device, and a copy is also saved to your device's photo gallery. You can delete in-app reports at any time from Report History; this does not delete any copy already saved to your gallery.

Sharing

If you choose to share a saved report using the app's Share button, your device's standard share sheet opens and you choose where it goes (e.g. email, messaging). That transfer is between you and whichever app you pick — this app has no involvement or visibility into it once shared.

Permissions

The app requests camera access (to measure) and, on Android 9 and below only, storage access (to save photos to your gallery, as required by that Android version). No other permissions are requested.

Children

This app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, since it collects no data at all.

Changes

If this policy ever changes (e.g. if a future version adds a backend or account system), this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect that.
